Meet our Project Director
 
Traci Cross became CVCAN’s Project Director in 2003 and currently wears many hats within the Castro Valley Unified School District (CVUSD). Traci not only coordinates CVCAN!, but also serves as the drug alcohol and tobacco prevention specialist for the CVUSD. In addition, she spends much of her time working with children in CVUSD by coordinating a mentoring program at Canyon Middle School, serving as the coordinator of Castro Valley High’s Youth 2 Youth Club and is the tobacco counselor for Castro Valley High School. Traci grew up in the Bay Area and is a graduate of Castro Valley High School. Her background is in Psychology. She has attended various trainings in drug prevention and intervention throughout her years with the CVUSD.

“I love being able to bring the anti-drug message to kids of all ages and show them that you can have fun being drug and alcohol free. Seeing the kids I work with become leaders and enjoy a healthier lifestyle is the greatest reward I get from my job.”
